Another Montmartre

At the foot of the Butte, Hotel Luxia is situated in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, just a few steps from the Sacré-Cœur and the Marché Saint-Pierre.

Designed by Necchi Architecture, the hotel tells the story of a different Montmartre, far from the expected clichés. It evokes the grand houses at the top of the Butte, where artists, musicians, filmmakers, and writers would gather to dine, talk, and linger into the night.

Inside, deep blacks, blonde sycamore, cork, and brass play off one another. The checkerboard pattern recurs from one space to the next, and the furniture, entirely custom-designed, gives the Luxia its graphic character.

Staying in Montmartre

The Sacré-Cœur and the Marché Saint-Pierre are within walking distance.

Heading back up toward the top of the Butte, you reach Avenue Junot, with its houses, small streets, and a quieter side of Montmartre.

Necchi architecture

Corner of a bedroom with a large mirror framed in a checkerboard fixed to the wall, reflecting a red door, a curved white armchair with brown cushion, a small table, and a partial beige sofa.

Charlotte Albert and Alexis Lamesta, founders of Necchi Architecture, designed all the spaces for Hotel Luxia.

Their starting point: the interiors of upper Montmartre at the end of the 20th century. Elegant, generous, and truly lived-in homes, where hosting was a way of life.

The decor is based on bold contrasts. Black accents complement the blonde sycamore. Cork, brass, and natural stone are featured in both the rooms and the common areas.

The furniture was entirely custom-designed. In the rooms, a large wardrobe integrates the closet, desk, and minibar.

The checkerboard pattern appears throughout the hotel and has become one of Luxia's signature features.

OUR ROOMS

The rooms at Luxia echo the hotel's graphic design language in a more intimate setting.

The checkerboard pattern appears on the ceiling and in various details. Sycamore wood, dark tones, and custom-made furniture give the rooms their unique character.

The bathrooms are inspired by ocean liner cabins, featuring varnished wood, polished stainless steel, and natural stones like travertine and Nero Marquina.

Each room has been designed as a true home away from home in Montmartre, just a few steps from the Sacré-Cœur.
